Ana sayfa / News

Capcom has stirred up nostalgia by re-releasing the first two Dino Crisis games on the GOG platform. Originally released in 1999 on PlayStation, Dino Crisis and its 2000 action-packed sequel are now available for PC players. This move brings the series, which inspired Resident Evil, to the PC platform.

Dino Crisis, one of the first projects from Capcom director Shinji Mikami, introduced players to a survival horror genre set in a dinosaur-filled jungle. Over the years, the series gained a large fanbase and became one of the top series that fans wanted to see again in a Capcom poll.

Despite Mikami’s doubts about a new Dino Crisis game, following the success of Monster Hunter, Capcom has successfully pleased fans by re-releasing the first two games on PC.

The PC versions, available through GOG, come DRM-free with a range of improvements for modern systems. These include support for Windows 10/11, 4K resolution, updated DirectX rendering, V-sync, anti-aliasing, and various settings options. Additionally, issues with save files in the PlayStation versions have been resolved.

The release of Dino Crisis 1 and 2 on PC coincides with the launch of GOG’s new “Wishlist” tool. This tool aims to gauge community interest in older games and facilitate the creation of remakes. The return of Dino Crisis to PC serves as a prime example of this initiative.
