ChatGPT by OpenAI causes “Code Red” within Google

Ana sayfa / News

ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI is making a lot of noise recently and poses a great threat, especially to Google. ChatGPT has been on the agenda in recent weeks as an advanced artificial intelligence system. Google declared a “Code Red” over the threat posed by ChatGPT.

ChatGPT could be a threat to Google in future

For those who missed it, ChatGPT is a chatbot that can understand natural language and respond in natural language. It is also still in the prototype stage. The system can give very interesting and detailed answers to the questions you ask or what you normally write. For this, it uses GPT-3.5, a deep learning-based language model that generates texts that look like they are written by a human. OpenAI also made an impression with DALL-E. DALL-E turns texts/sentences into photos/designs before ChatGPT is now worrying internet giants like Google.

Some information has emerged on this very subject. According to The New York Times, Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai has instructed various working groups in the company to address the threat ChatGPT poses to the company’s search engine division. ChatGPT is not yet pulling data from Google over the internet, and when it does, it will become an even more advanced and powerful alternative.

ChatGPT is seen by many as “the system that will end Google” and Google is well aware of this. The technology, which is not a direct competitor of Google at the moment, seems to have the potential to change this overnight in the future. Google senior management declared a “code red/emergency” within the company after seeing what ChatGPT could do.

Google, of course, is not a company that does not work on artificial intelligence at all. The company also has an advanced natural language artificial intelligence system called “LaMDA”. Google has been working on it for a long time. This system, which has made a lot of noise on the agenda with its “gained consciousness” claims, promises a great future like ChatGPT. A huge competition among artificial intelligence bots awaits us.
