OpenAI has now made the memory feature, which it announced on its ChatGPT platform in April, available to free users. Previously only available to Plus and Pro subscribers, this feature allows the AI to remember previous conversations and provide personalized and context-sensitive responses.
ChatGPT offers free memory feature
The improved memory feature can provide suggestions using information users have provided in past conversations. For example, if a user has previously stated that they like Indian cuisine, they can receive suggestions about Indian food in a later conversation when asked “What should I have for lunch today?”
However, free users cannot benefit from the longer-term and comprehensive memory capabilities offered to Plus and Pro subscribers. The free version can only carry short-term context between conversations.
On the other hand, there has been a significant development in coding. ChatGPT’s software development assistant Codex is now available to Plus users. Previously available only to Pro, Enterprise and Team subscribers, Codex can write code with natural language commands and make improvements to the code.

Users can access Codex directly from chatgpt.com/codex. It is said that Plus members are given a wide area regarding Codex’s usage limits. The tool, which speeds up the software development process, can run multiple processes at the same time and continue without forgetting what was done during the process.
