China has significantly increased its automobile exports even before the end of 2024. China, which has left Japan behind in terms of sales figures, has ranked first worldwide with 2 million 790 thousand vehicle exports in the first half of the year. So how much growth?
China increased its automobile exports by 31 percent in the first half of 2024!
While electric car sales have decreased all over the world, China has made a major breakthrough with its own brands. China, which is currently one of the countries that exports the most automobiles, has pushed its rival Japan into second place. With a total of 2 million 790 thousand exports, China, which is the country that exports the most automobiles in the world, has left Japan, which has achieved an export figure of 2 million 20 thousand, behind.
Passenger vehicles constitute the majority of China’s exports in the first six months of the year. China, which sent a total of 2 million 340 thousand passenger vehicles abroad, contributed to its exports with 450 thousand commercial vehicles. The country, which recorded a 31 percent growth compared to the previous year, is generally known for electric cars, but still provides a large portion of its exports with internal combustion engines. This figure is currently seen as 2 million 190 thousand. In other words, electric cars are in the minority.
The brand that exported the most cars was Chery. Chery, which ranked first with 532 thousand units, pushed SAIC, which exported 439 thousand cars, Geely, which exported 242 thousand cars, and BYD, which exported 207 thousand cars, to the back of the list.
China, which took the lead from Japan with a total of 5 million 260 thousand car exports last year, will apparently continue to be the leader this year with a larger figure. Let’s see how the total figures will change at the end of the year.
