Octopus, which has made a name for itself with the investments and global collaborations it has received in the past year, has been working in the retail technologies and advertising technologies categories in Turkey. Octopus, which has accelerated its efforts for its newly launched local advertising network, announced its cooperation with Citybird, which has started working on taxi advertising in Turkey.
Citybird is an initiative founded by Denizhan Cacar in Istanbul and embraces the “Traveling Ads” slogan. Cacar has commented on the collaboration as; “We are very excited about our Citybird initiative, which will start its first activity in Istanbul this year. Our goal is to progress rapidly in this category and operate in the MENA region. This collaboration with Octopus has enabled us to accelerate our access to software and advertising networks. I’m sure we will continue this cooperation abroad as well.”
Emre Yıldız, the founder of Octopus, said; “We have always expressed our motivation for startups in similar categories in the ecosystem to cooperate rather than compete with each other. Last year, we announced our collaborations with 3 startups from Turkey. Our goal is to touch as many points as possible with the octopus’s arms and show people the most accurate content on the screens. Citybird is the perfect collaboration for our OctoAds and OctoPayment products.”
Octopus and Citybird will be operating in the field of taxi advertising in 3 more cities, primarily in Istanbul, in the coming period.
