Google is seeking to integrate certain artificial intelligence features into Android with the Pixel 9 series and Android 15. In this sense, some cloud-based artificial intelligence features have begun to appear on devices such as the Pixel 8 series and Samsung S24.
According to a new leak, the Pixel 9 series will feature artificial intelligence applications running on the device, not cloud-based. An Android expert sharing on X discovered important details in Google’s AI Core codes. The Ai Core app is currently on the Pixel 8 Pro and updates artificial intelligence apps and features in the background. Apart from the AI Core application, important details also emerged in the beta codes of the Google Messages application.
According to the information contained in the codes, the new Pixel series will offer integrated artificial intelligence features. As you know, artificial intelligence applications currently run on the cloud. However, the use of on-device artificial intelligence on both the PC side and the smartphone side will probably appear in 2025.
Artificial intelligence features such as creating images from text in the information contained in the codes, text summarization, OCR, or optical character recognition, will appear with the new Pixel series. Again, in the Google Messages beta codes, the chat feature with artificial intelligence will also appear on the messages application. User X, who shared these codes, claims that all of these services will be offered on Pixel 9.
