Nothing CEO Carl Pei introduced a new, affordable sub-brand called CMF by Nothing in early August. Shortly thereafter, he registered a smartwatch and a pair of wireless headphones that will be launched in India soon. Following that, a major leak in late last month revealed the first three products to be released under the CMF by Nothing brand.
CMF by Nothing unveil date: September 26
The leak actually mentioned a date of September 26th, but, of course, this date was not official, and Nothing initially did not confirm it. At the end of the day, the official announcement came from Manu Sharma, Vice President and General Manager of Nothing India, making it as official as possible.
Sharma has not yet revealed anything about any device. However, the CMF by Nothing slogan emerged in his post on X: ‘Great by design.’ It’s clear that design will play a complementary role in the CMF series alongside affordability. CEO Carl Pei had emphasized before that they wanted to offer innovative and interesting design paired with affordability.
From what we saw in the mentioned leak, the initial products that surfaced will undoubtedly capture attention, primarily due to their bold color choices. What remains unclear is whether the launch on September 26th will be exclusively for the Indian market (as it has been the only place we’ve seen certified accessories so far) or if it will have a global scope.
As mentioned, we’re expecting the release of three CMF by Nothing products: wireless headphones, a smartwatch, and a charger. These products have been priced to be budget-friendly.
