With the widespread use of artificial intelligence (AI) in business, some executives have a desire to replace their workforce with AI tools. According to a Beautiful.ai survey of more than 3,000 executives, the human race’s worst nightmare seems to be coming true.
Almost half of the 3,000 executives plan to replace their employees with AI in 2024
According to the survey, nearly half (41%) of executives hope to replace their employees with AI within this year. The proportion who think such a step would be financially beneficial rises to 48%. There is also a high proportion (45%) who think AI will lower salaries because it will reduce the need for manpower.
The survey results also reveal a growing confidence in AI’s ability to successfully perform tasks like humans. 40% of the executives surveyed believe that AI can work efficiently without humans.
On the other hand, half of the executives are concerned that AI could lead to lower salaries for their positions. In fact, 64% believe that AI can deliver the same level of productivity as experienced managers, or perhaps even better.
Another noteworthy finding of the survey is that the majority of managers (66%) say they are trying to increase productivity by using AI tools in their roles.
Despite these developments, Beautiful.ai believes that AI can be used as a collaborative tool and help employees create more content. However, they emphasize that human supervision is still very necessary.
In conclusion, while opinions vary on what role AI will play in the business world, it seems inevitable that businesses will widely adopt and utilize AI technology.
