Copilot+ features are coming to AMD and Intel processors!

Ana sayfa / News

Microsoft has now started offering the Copilot+ features it introduced last year for AMD and Intel processor devices. Initially supported only on Qualcomm Snapdragon processor devices, these features will now officially be available on Ryzen AI 300 and Intel Core Ultra 200V processor systems.

This move will allow the Copilot+ ecosystem to expand and reach a larger user base. The Copilot+PC program was announced on May 20, 2024 and initially only worked on Snapdragon processor devices.

However, Microsoft will now start offering certain Copilot+ capabilities for AMD’s Strix Point and Kraken-based Ryzen AI 300 series and Intel’s Lunar Lake-based Core Ultra 200V models. Intel’s Arrow Lake series also includes NPUs, but these processors do not appear to be powerful enough to receive Copilot+PC certification.

However, it is noteworthy that Microsoft did not mention AI MAX+ support. The Ryzen AI 300 series and Core Ultra 200V, despite having the same XDNA2 processor, do not benefit from these features. Microsoft’s Copilot+PC features include advanced AI-powered tools such as Live Captions, Co-creator in Paint, Image Creator, and Restyle Image.

However, the controversial Recall software has not been introduced yet, and it remains unclear why Microsoft has not brought back this feature. So what do you think about this? Feel free to share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
