Samsung previously confirmed that it would release the stable version of its next-generation software, One UI 8.0, this month. The company appears to be keeping this promise, as it has begun preparing Galaxy devices for the major update. Here are the details of One UI 8.
One UI 8.0 Update Schedule Leaked
Recently, updates have been released on the Galaxy Store for dozens of language packs, particularly those underlying the AI-powered Galaxy AI features. This is considered a strong indication that Samsung’s stable version of One UI 8.0 will be released soon.
To ensure your phone is ready for the update, it’s a good idea to install these updates ahead of time. To do this, go to Galaxy Store > Menu > Updates and tap the Update All button. Also, don’t forget to check for updates on the Google Play Store.
While the stable One UI 8.0 update is confirmed to arrive this month, Samsung hasn’t yet announced an official release schedule. However, according to recent leaks, the update will arrive first on September 18th for the Galaxy S25 series. These models will be followed a week later by the Galaxy S24 series and some Galaxy A series phones on September 25th.
High-end Galaxy tablets could receive One UI 8.0 in early October, while other mid-range and budget Galaxy devices are expected to receive the update later that month. It’s important to note that these dates are based on leaks focused primarily on the Asian market, so they may vary by region.
