Google is working on increasing its share in the smartphone market, and there are concrete developments regarding the affordable Pixel 9a model. Reliable industry sources have revealed technical and design details of the upcoming device.
What will the Google Pixel 9a offer to users?
AndroidHeadlines has shared new details about the upcoming Google Pixel 9a. According to these details, the smartphone will be powered by the Google Tensor G4 chipset. Additionally, it will feature 8 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and offer storage options of 128 GB and 256 GB using UFS 3.1.
The model will have a 6.2-inch OLED display with a peak brightness of 2,700 nits and an HDR brightness of 1,800 nits. Furthermore, it will feature a 48 MP main camera (f/1.7), a 13 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 13 MP Sony IMX712 selfie sensor.
The device will be equipped with a 5,100 mAh battery supporting 23W wired charging and 7.5W wireless charging speeds. It will also include the Titan M2 security chip to ensure secure data protection and boot processes. Additionally, the phone will have an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
Although not confirmed, it is rumored that the starting model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage will be priced at $499.
Looking at the leaked images of the model, it seems that the design will be different from previous versions. The rear panel will feature a pill-shaped camera setup in the upper-left corner, replacing the horizontal bar seen in earlier models. There are no expected changes on the front.
