Samsung’s recent introduction of One UI 8 on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip 7 FE on July 9th has kicked off the rollout process. While the update has yet to be widely distributed to other devices, the release of the fourth beta for the Galaxy S25 series suggests that a stable version is coming soon.
Which Samsung Models Will Get One UI 8 First?
According to Samsung’s typical update strategy, the stable One UI 8 update will not be released to all devices at once. Instead, the company will follow a phased rollout, prioritizing its newest and most expensive flagship devices.
The first devices expected to receive the One UI 8 update are:
- Galaxy S25
- Galaxy S25 Plus
- Galaxy S25 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Fold 6
- Galaxy Z Flip 6
The Galaxy S25 series is first in line because the initial One UI 8 testing was conducted on these devices, fitting Samsung’s strategy to lead with its latest flagships. The new foldable phones are next in line as the company’s second-newest devices.
For users with other models, the update will still arrive in time. Samsung’s general update policy is to roll out new software in a specific order: starting with current flagships, then moving to the previous year’s flagships, followed by mid-range devices, and finally, budget-friendly phones.
