New gameplay video for Stalker 2
Seventeen years have passed since the release of the first STALKER and the industry has undergone a major transformation. Built on Unreal Engine 5, STALKER 2 promises to push the boundaries of visual realism and immersion. The trailer showcases abandoned and barren environments with eye-catching graphics.
The released video highlights details in the game mechanics, especially the inventory system. Players will have to manage their equipment carefully, as each item they loot has a specific shape and weight. This Tetris-like challenge pushes players to optimize their carrying capacity and plan their trips accordingly.
The shootouts in Stalker 2 look interesting with various weapons and add-ons. From classic sniper rifles to close range weapons, players will have the opportunity to adapt to their preferences. One of the highlights of the trailer is the nature of the setting. The world can instantly transform from a desolate and barren landscape to a chaotic and dangerous battlefield.
The dev team also said that despite the high-end graphics, STALKER 2 will focus on technical optimization. STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl will launch on November 20, 2024 and will be available on Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG.
