Counter-Strike 2 is unavailable for Mac computers!
Counter-Strike 2 was introduced as an update to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, eliminating the need for players to add a separate game to their libraries. Consequently, players had to download the update.
While Windows users were able to download Counter-Strike 2 and enjoy the game, Mac computer users, unfortunately, were left out. This was because the game was not made compatible with MacOS, as reported.
According to players, Counter-Strike 2 attempts to run on Mac computers as if it were a Windows-exclusive application, preventing access to the game. This indicates that Valve did not make the game compatible for MacOS users. As a result, some players attempted to return to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
In response to complaints from MacOS users, Valve removed MacOS from the list of supported operating systems on the Counter-Strike 2 page. Valve’s official FAQ page also confirms the lack of MacOS support.
A Mac player who had spent thousands of hours playing CS:GO and invested hundreds of dollars in in-game items expressed their frustration with this situation. The user pointed out Valve’s claim that Windows is not the sole operating system for gaming, expressing their disappointment.
