Critical decision from Google: That product has been canceled!

Reliable industry sources claim that Google has decided to shelve one of its products that has been in development for a while. Although the company has yet to make an official announcement, it is reported that the decision was made last week. Additionally, team members involved in the development of the product have reportedly been reassigned to other projects.

Google is set to launch the Pixel Tablet 2 model very soon. This product will feature an integrated keyboard option for the first time. However, it appears this might be the company’s last tablet. According to recent reports, Google made a sudden decision last week to cancel the “Kiyomi” codenamed Pixel Tablet 3 project.

The cancellation was reportedly announced internally last week, with teams working on the project being redirected to other initiatives. Sources interpret Google’s decision as a sign of strategic uncertainty regarding the tablet market.

Another factor behind this decision is said to be Apple. Over the past few years, Apple has significantly widened the gap in the market with its iPad series powered by proprietary M-series chips. It is suggested that Google prefers to focus on different areas instead of competing in the tablet segment. Reports indicate that the company may concentrate on devices combining Chrome OS and Android.

Here are the technical specifications of the Pixel Tablet released by Google last year:
