Dell and AMD Join Forces on PowerEdge AI Server!

Dell Expands Partnership with AMD by Incorporating Team Red’s Top-Tier Instinct MI300X AI Accelerators and New Generative AI Solutions into the PowerEdge AI Server. This integration aims to eliminate uncertainties in integration, performance, and scaling, making it easier for customers to build GenAI platforms that meet their needs.

As AI hardware continues to advance rapidly, the development of open-source technologies and cutting-edge hardware drives innovation in the industry. Dell and AMD remain at the forefront by offering on-premises infrastructure solutions that are up to 75% more cost-effective than IaaS.

The open AI ecosystems continue to evolve. The Dell PowerEdge XE9680 will now ship with AMD Instinct MI300X accelerators, providing exceptional AI performance to customers. Additionally, Dell has announced the Dell Validated Design for Generative AI in collaboration with AMD. This feature allows the development of customized applications based on open frameworks.

Seasonic released AMD Radeon RX 7000 series

Seasonic, the PSU manufacturer, made a surprise move regarding the AMD Radeon RX 7000 series. They listed unreleased GPUs online.

The PowerEdge XE9680, equipped with AMD Instinct MI300X accelerators, offers high-performance capabilities for enterprises using generative AI servers. It includes eight MI300X accelerators, a total of 1.5 TB of HBM3 memory, and features 42 petaFLOPS of peak theoretical FP8 sparse precision performance.

This powerful configuration enables faster training and inference of large language models, allowing organizations to deliver AI-driven innovative applications more efficiently. The PowerEdge AI server thus becomes significantly more effective.

Simplified deployment with Dell OpenManage Enterprise and enhanced security with APEX AIOps software will be offered. The XE9680 will help businesses rapidly implement and scale their GenAI solutions.
