While Apple continues to offer highly acclaimed and popular products, the iPad Pro model with OLED screen attracted a lot of attention. The model, which stands out especially with its superior screen technology and slim design, was initially met with great interest. However, the latest news shows that the demand for this premium product of Apple is rapidly decreasing. Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consulting Company (DSCC), said in a statement that panel shipments of the 13-inch OLED iPad Pro have dropped significantly. So what could have caused this?
Why is interest in Apple’s OLED iPad Pro dropping?
First of all, the OLED iPad Pro is considered one of the slimmest tablets on the market with the best display technology. With a dual-layer OLED display, LTPS back panel and a thickness of just 0.2 mm, it offers an impressive technical specification, but demand is falling short of expectations.
Perhaps consumer interest in Apple’s device with such advanced features is a manifestation of the changing dynamics in the tablet market. High prices and users turning to more affordable alternatives may be one of the reasons for this drop in demand.
On the other hand, increasing competition in the tablet market is another challenge facing Apple’s iPad Pro model. Competitors such as Samsung and Huawei are also in the market with very powerful devices. This probably leads consumers to be more careful and selective in their choices.
In short, interest in Apple’s OLED iPad Pro has plummeted despite its advanced technology. This decline in demand may require Apple to rethink its tablet strategy. Perhaps a new pricing policy or a new feature-packed model could change this. For now, however, the iPad Pro’s market position does not look as bright as Apple expects.
