As we enter September, the excitement for flagship battles on both iOS and Android platforms is intensifying. After the iPhone 16 event scheduled for September 9, Android devices featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processors are expected to launch in October. Now, detailed camera specifications for the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra have been revealed. Here are the details…
Xiaomi 15 Ultra Coming in 2025
Although the Xiaomi 15 series is set to be announced in October, the Ultra model is expected to be unveiled in 2025, as it has been in previous years. Even though the Ultra model is still at least four months away, leaks continue to emerge. Recent leaks have detailed the Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s camera features.
The anticipated device is said to feature an updated Sony LYT-900 sensor for the main camera, promising impressive low-light performance. The most significant upgrade seems to be in the telephoto lens. According to leaks, the 15 Ultra will be introduced with a 200-megapixel telephoto camera offering 10x optical zoom, a considerable improvement over the 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom found in the previous model.
Rumor has it that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will come with a 50-megapixel advanced selfie camera, replacing the 32-megapixel selfie camera found in the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. The device is expected to feature a more curved design and, as with every series, will likely be equipped with Leica cameras.
The phone will sport a 2K resolution display and will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, with up to 24 GB of RAM. Running on Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0, the 15 Ultra will come with a 6,200 mAh battery.
