In fact, it was already known that account sharing would be blocked for Disney+. The company’s CEO had already made a statement about this. Today, however, it has emerged that the company has sent an informative email to users.

According to the information provided, Hulu, another digital streaming platform owned by The Walt Disney Company, sent an email to its users stating that limitations on sharing accounts with people outside the home will be implemented.

“You might ask, what does Hulu have to do with Disney+?” Someone who thinks the same way as you asked Disney if the same situation would apply to Disney+. Unfortunately, the company announced that it would indeed apply.

Accordingly, Disney+ users will not be able to share their account passwords with people outside their homes as of March 14. Sharing will continue to be allowed with people in the same household. At this point, the company stated that a more detailed explanation would be provided soon.

There is information that if account sharing is done in violation of the rules, access to the service may be restricted, or even the account may be closed. A Netflix-like system is expected to be introduced.
