Does Windows 11 slow down PC performance?

Ana sayfa / News

PassMark benchmark data revealed that the processor performance of Windows computers has decreased compared to last year. This data, which is based on thousands of performance tests updated every two weeks, is especially worrying for Windows 11 users.

A previously unseen decrease was noticed in the graph showing the annual performance tracking. Although the technology world is investigating the reasons for this performance decrease, the transition from Windows 10 to Windows 11 is thought to be the main reason.

The increasing pre-installed software (bloatware) in new systems stands out as the main suspect. Although Microsoft claims that Windows 11 offers superior performance compared to the previous version, the test results do not support this claim.

Samsung Galaxy A36 comes with triple cameras, Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, Android 15, and more.

On the contrary, Windows 10 has been shown to outperform Windows 11 in a variety of scenarios, both in clean installs and upgrades. PassMark’s analysis also showed that users are not moving beyond eight-core configurations and are happy with their current performance levels.

A significant portion of Windows 10 users have still not upgraded to Windows 11, which is disrupting Microsoft’s plans. Therefore, a move such as ending the free upgrade offer could send a counter-intuitive message to users.
