Microsoft wants to expand its share of the web with Edge. In this context, it aims to add features to its browser that competitors such as Google Chrome do not have. However, as part of the new update, it was revealed that Edge broke sites. Users reported receiving memory errors in the browser.
Bug that crashes sites for Microsoft Edge
The latest stable release for the Edge web browser is causing memory-related bugs. Microsoft has taken action against the bug that prevents certain websites from loading properly. The latest version of Edge has been withdrawn.
Edge version 122.0.2365.63, which was released through the browser’s standard update channel, resulted in the browser showing “not enough memory to open this page” or “there is a problem with this page” messages. It was noticed that Edge was logging the “Insufficient memory” error when issuing these warnings.
According to the latest leaks, a Helldivers 2 knockoff game is being designed for Xbox. Here are all the details…
Experts investigating the issue found that it was linked to Edge’s built-in advanced security and privacy settings. In this context, users who reported the error to the company discovered that disabling the “Strict” security level or turning off the “Enhance your security on the web” setting completely resolved the memory errors.
This workaround was first posted on Microsoft’s support forums. Users on social networks such as Reddit also confirmed that the workaround was effective.
However, in response to the issue, Microsoft chose to remove version 122.0.2365.63 from its update channels. The last stable version currently available is 122.0.2365.59. It seems likely that Microsoft will fix and re-release the faulty version causing memory issues.
