Instagram has launched DM features to help users better connect and chat. Among these features is the ability to edit the most sent messages. So how will the Instagram DM editing feature be used?
Instagram DM editing has become a reality
Updates released by Meta for Instagram include the ability to edit messages up to 15 minutes after sending, pin up to three chats to the top of the inbox, and change read receipts on a chat-by-chat basis.
Thanks to the Instagram DM editing feature, you will have more control over the messages you sent incorrectly or want to change. You can update the message by clicking on it up to 15 minutes after sending it. However, it should be noted that there will be an indication next to the message as “edited”.
Users can now save their favorite stickers for quick use in DM. Advanced options such as adding a sticker, GIF, video, photo or audio recording will be available when replying to a message.
More chat themes are also being added to “set the right mood” between friends. The new themes include Love, Lollipop, Avatar and more. Themes will be applied by tapping on the chat name and choosing from the available options.
With new features, Instagram is giving users more ways to express themselves. DM will now offer more flexibility to edit bugs, prioritize important conversations, and add visual elements to replies.
