According to Collider’s latest report, the box office of Dune 2, which was released 45 days ago, has reached 684 million dollars as of today. As it is known, the budget of the film is 190 million dollars, and an initial box office target of 500 million dollars was in question. However, the film exceeded expectations with both its story and its cast, and it also managed to exceed its box office target.
According to industry analysts, Dune 2, which is still in theaters and continues to attract audiences in droves, will exceed $700 million at the box office. As you may remember, the revenue of the first production released in 2021 was 434.8 million dollars. This means that the second movie, which is still being released, earned approximately 300 million dollars more than its predecessor.
The main cast is retained in Dune 2. In other words, we see actors such as Timothee Chalamet (Paul Atreides), Zendaya (Chani), and Stellan Skarsgaard (Baron Vladimir Harkonnen), who appeared in the first movie, in the sequel.
