Electronic Arts (EA) announced that the third and final game in the Star Wars Jedi game series is on the way. EA announced that the new game will be the completion of the series and will end the trilogy. Respawn Entertainment, the developer of the first two games in the series, will also undertake this final game.
The third and final game of the Star Wars Jedi series is coming: A legendary ending is expected
The Star Wars Jedi series began with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which was released in 2019. The game received critical acclaim from both critics and players, selling over 10 million units. Following this success, the sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, was released in 2023 and achieved the same success. This latest game in the series, although it does not yet have a name, is sure to be an integral part of the story.
The series’ main character, Cal Kestis, is expected to return in this final game. However, it is still unclear when this new game will be released. If the game is released before the next-gen consoles, it is expected to be released for PlayStation 5 , Xbox Series X/S, and PC. If the game is released around the next-gen consoles, it is unlikely to be released for older-gen consoles.
Gamers know well that completing a trilogy in the gaming industry is always an enjoyable process. The director of the first two games, Stig Asmussen, planned this series as a trilogy. However, Asmussen left Respawn and founded his own studio. Still, it is a matter of great curiosity what kind of story this last game will present that will complete his vision.
What do you think about this? Do you think the third and final game will bring the epic conclusion the series deserves? You can write your opinions in the comments section below.
