Electronic Arts (EA) has revised its revenue forecast for fiscal year 2025 downwards due to underperforming results from EA Sports FC 25 and Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The company adjusted its net bookings revenue estimate from $7.5 – $7.8 billion to $7 – $7.1 billion. Here’s what you need to know:

According to EA’s preliminary third-quarter results, net bookings reached $2.2 billion, falling short of the previous estimate of $2.4 – $2.5 billion. The company attributed this decline primarily to a slowdown in global football games.

EA’s other major title, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, also disappointed. The game reached only 1.5 million players, which is 50% below the target.

EA CEO Andrew Wilson stated that while the company continues to deliver quality games, EA Sports FC 25 and Dragon Age: The Veilguard did not meet net booking expectations. Wilson added, “This month, we released a comprehensive gameplay update for FC 25. Player feedback has been positive, and early results are promising.”

EA CFO Stuart Canfield reaffirmed the company’s commitment to long-term growth strategies and mentioned plans to enter fiscal year 2026 with more strength, aiming to recover by continuing to grow its legendary franchises.
