FromSoftware has announced that the highly anticipated Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree will be launching tomorrow, following the release of Update 1.12.
Elden Ring 1.12 update
To prepare for the launch of the DLC, FromSoftware is taking the multiplayer online role-playing game Elden Ring offline today for scheduled maintenance and to deploy Update 1.12. The maintenance is expected to last around three hours, during which time the game servers will be unavailable.
Update 1.12 includes various changes and improvements, including a revision to the inventory system. However, full patch notes have not yet been released. The update aims to improve balancing and polish the existing game ahead of the new Shadow of the Erdtree content drop.
“Shadow of the Erdtree” will introduce new locations and challenges for Tarnished players to face in the Lands Between. An epic launch trailer teasing some of what’s to come with the DLC will premiere today. The expansion can be purchased separately for around $40 USD. Preloads are currently available on PlayStation platforms in preparation for the launch.
FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have not officially confirmed the exact launch timing of the DLC in different regions after Update 1.12 and maintenance are completed, but it is expected to go live sometime late tomorrow. The release of “Shadow of the Erdtree” marks the first major story-driven expansion for Elden Ring since its massive success earlier this year. Fans have high expectations as they begin the next chapter in The Lands Between
