Kadokawa Corporation, the owner of FromSoftware, known for developing Elden Ring, has been hacked. Data thieves have given the company until July 1, 2024, to pay a ransom.

FromSoftware, known for beloved games like Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Elden Ring, seems to be in serious trouble. An unidentified hacker group has hacked Kadokawa Corporation and claims to possess 1.5 TB of data that they will release to the public if their ransom demands are not met.

In a statement from the company, it was revealed that an internal investigation has been launched to determine the affected business units and the scope of the stolen information. They confirmed that no credit card or other financial data had been stolen. However, the data thieves claim to have financial information as well.
