Elden Ring: Nightreign game is a disappointment!

Ana sayfa / News

Elden Ring: Nightreign, the spin-off game that followed Elden Ring, which had a huge impact on the gaming world, met with players this week. The game, which had high expectations, became one of the least-liked games in From Software history with its low scores from both critics and players.

From Software has received great appreciation from both players and critics with its games such as Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls series, Bloodborne, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and most recently Elden Ring.

The studio has managed to receive critics’ ratings above 80 points with almost every game. However, Nightreign could not continue this trend. The game’s current OpenCritic score is recorded as 80 and its MetaCritic score is recorded as 77. These figures put Nightreign at the bottom of From Software’s 16-year history of publishing.

Nightreign features a different gameplay structure than the main Elden Ring game. Instead of a single-player experience, a multiplayer, survival-focused structure has been chosen. Players fight in a new region called Limveld, either alone or in groups of three.

In each game cycle, they encounter different enemies on different maps. Their task is not only to defeat these enemies, but also to survive for three days with in-game time. At the end of this period, successful players win various rewards.

This format offers an experience far removed from From Software’s classic single-player, atmospheric and challenging productions. This difference has been met with skepticism by some players since the game’s launch.

However, due to the studio’s track record, many still believed that Nightreign would maintain its high quality standards. Despite expectations, the initial data did not meet this belief. In player reviews on Steam, Nightreign currently has a positive rating of only 73%.
