Eksim Energy, committed to contributing to Turkey’s green energy transformation, continues to launch new projects and increase its installed capacity. The company has accelerated its capacity expansion efforts in line with its “2035 Renewable Energy Targets.” Among these projects, the Eksim Energy wind power plant in Silivri, Istanbul, known for its high wind efficiency, will reach 108 MW of installed capacity by the end of 2025, making a significant contribution to the region’s energy needs.
The clean energy we generate will meet the needs of 1.23 million households
Eksim Energy CEO Arkın Akbay emphasized the special importance of Silivri as we implement strategic investments in many regions of Turkey, saying:
“Our wind power plant in Silivri has been one of our company’s most efficient and highest-producing power plants since 2014. To date, this facility has generated 2.2 million MWh of electricity, meeting the electricity needs of approximately 760,000 households. In addition to our 23 operating turbines, we have now commissioned three more with Ministry approval. We are progressing toward completing our 40.3 MW capacity expansion project currently under construction. Since its establishment, we have invested $100 million in our power plant, and we will commission five more turbines by the end of the year, and two more next year.” Arkın Akbay, stating that they have reached approximately 1,000 MW of installed capacity in Turkey and abroad, including wind, solar, and hydroelectric power plants, said, “With our international investments, we aim to increase our installed capacity from 930 MW to 1,030 MW by the end of the year. This growth will place our company among the top 10 players in renewable energy and the top 3 in wind energy. The energy needs of approximately 1,230,000 households will be met with renewable energy.”
Eksim to boost Central Anatolia’s wind power
Eksim Energy’s investment efforts are not limited to capacity increases. Having completed a capacity increase in the Killik district of Tokat, reaching 101 MW, the company is also continuing to build new power plants in Yozgat and Karaman. Targeting 70 MW of installed capacity in Karaman and 56 MW in Yozgat, the company is a candidate for the energy company of the year with the 150 MW Geyve RES and 191 MW Viranşehir SPP projects it completed this year.
