Elon Musk recently promised to provide legal support to anyone who lost their job due to X. Former actress of The Mandalorian, Gina Carano, took advantage of Musk’s promise and announced that she would file a major lawsuit against Disney, the producer of the show, who fired her.
Why was Gina Carano fired?
Disney described some of the famous actress’s posts on X and Instagram as racist, discriminatory, and anti-Semitic, stating that they do not want to work with individuals who make such posts. Carano initially accepted this decision; however, after seeing Musk’s X post, she changed her mind, claiming that she reached out to the famous entrepreneur and was provided with special attorneys for this lawsuit by the X platform a few months later.
Carano stated that she provided her lawyers with all the information that could be useful regarding the issue and that she would do her best to win the case. It is rumored that Carano is demanding a certain amount of compensation from the production company and wants the company to offer her jobs in other shows. Although the outcome of the lawsuit is unknown, it seems that it will continue to be on the agenda.
Elon Musk’s stance against Disney was already known. The famous entrepreneur had previously invited Bob Iger, the CEO of the company that decided not to advertise on the X platform, to resign and had made harsh insults. Therefore, he continues to take a stand against Disney whenever he finds the opportunity.
