Meta’s Twitter-like text-based platform Threads is finally available. Available on Android and iOS, the application will bring a new dimension to Instagram. Elon Musk, who has not used Instagram for many years and is preparing for a cage match with Mark Zuckerberg, spoke about Threads for the first time.
Elon Musk: I prefer Twitter to false happiness of hide-the-pain Instagram
Meta presented Threads, a new application that will compete directly with Twitter. The new platform, which allows users to share text, photos and videos, has positioned itself as a rival to Twitter. Elon Musk, on the other hand, made some hinting posts.
In his comments about Threads on Twitter, Musk said that he saw the application as a copy of Twitter. He did not fail to reply to a tweet saying that Threads would only use a “copy and paste” keyboard with a smiley face.
In another statement about the rival application, he stressed “fake Instagram”. “It is infinitely preferable to be attacked by strangers on Twitter, than indulge in the false happiness of hide-the-pain Instagram,” he said.
On the other hand, Mark Zuckerberg took to Twitter for the first time in many years. It could be said that Zuckerberg, who used two Spider-Man photos showing each other, is comparing Twitter and Threads.
If we look at the number of downloads of Threads, we see that 2 million downloads and new users registered in 2 hours. This number is really impressive and in the ongoing process, new users have registered on the platform in numbers close to per hour. Another data from Zuckerberg is that 10 million users are currently registered.
