Tesla and SpaceX CEO has a bolder plan now. An utopic town for his workers
The eccentric billionaire Elon Musk has a bolder plan for his employers now. Resembling the coal company towns built in 19th century, Snailbrook will be an utopic town which will host all Texas employers of SpaceX and Tesla.
Musk’s town will contain brand new homes nestled in thousands of acres of farmland beside the Colorado River. Although at the moment, its on the planning stage, some mock-ups are circulating the internet.
Last year, an new Tesla factory dubbed Giga Texas went operational in April. The factory, which is at the Travis County outside Austin is the manufacturing hub for the Model Y and proposed to be the future home of the Cybertruck. Musk also has a tunneling firm, called Boring Company nearby. SpaceX is also building a facility just a half-mile up the road where the proposed Snailbrook town will be built.
Snailbrook is the name of Boring Company’s mascot. It’s a snail named Gary – a reference to the SpongeBob Squarepants cartoon character.
