End of the road: Samsung has cut off update support for popular phones!

Samsung has officially decided to end update support for the Galaxy S20 series as of April 7, 2025. This decision came into effect with the publication of the company’s April security update plan. The Galaxy S20 series was launched in 2020 and was supported with both Android and One UI updates for approximately 4 years.

The Galaxy S20 series includes the following models:

These phones will no longer receive any software updates, including monthly or quarterly security patches. According to Samsung’s previous update policy, flagship models typically receive four major Android updates and five years of security support. The Galaxy S20 series has now completed this cycle.
