End of Thirst: Scientists Obtain Clean Water from Air

Ana sayfa / News

Scientists have made an invention that could change the fate of the entire world. As is well known, our planet is becoming a place where access to drinking water is increasingly difficult with each passing day. A team from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has developed a device that can extract drinking water from the air, potentially providing a solution to the growing global need for clean water.

MIT, funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), has made significant progress in its long-term research efforts. The device developed by the team, called SAWH (Sorption-Based Atmospheric Water Harvesting), uses a special fin system to absorb moisture from the air, collecting water and producing clean, healthy drinking water.

One of the most interesting aspects of this device developed by the MIT team is that the mentioned fins have a very low-cost design. The device is relatively small and compact, making it usable in different geographies. The fact that the invented device can operate in very low humidity levels opens the way for obtaining water even in challenging conditions such as deserts.

Water-based battery invented: It can store more energy!

Chinese scientists have developed a water-based battery that can store more energy and is safer than lithium-ion batteries.

Information obtained from MIT indicates that the device used to obtain water requires no energy other than solar energy. This provides significant advantages in terms of environmental sustainability and maintaining ecological balance.
