The Epic Games Store’s next mobile giveaway has slipped out a little ahead of schedule. Starting October 2, mobile users can grab Doodle Devil: Dark Side free of charge on both Android and iOS, a puzzle game from the long-running Doodle universe.

Epic has been busy handing out free content across platforms. In September alone, the store dished out nearly a dozen giveaways, covering PC, Mac, iOS, and Android. Titles ranged from casual indies to triple-A hits like Ghostrunner 2, still selling for nearly $35 elsewhere.

For PC users, Epic already confirmed its next freebies: Nightingale and Firestone Online Idle RPG in-game items are going live tomorrow. Two more PC titles are currently free to claim. But on the mobile side, it looks like only one game is lined up this round.

PlayStation 30th anniversary brings collector’s book and Reebok sneaker drop

Sony celebrates the PlayStation 30th anniversary with a collector’s book and a Reebok sneaker collab packed with nostalgic details.

Though not officially announced yet, a leak from Reddit user u/MeguminShiro points to Doodle Devil: Dark Side as the next mobile giveaway. The game, a darker twist on the original Doodle formula, is expected to go free between October 2–9.

Originally priced at $0.99 on both app stores, Doodle Devil: Dark Side lets players embrace chaos by combining elements to spawn disasters, monsters, and sins. It’s the antithesis of Doodle God, and still holds 4-star ratings on Android and iOS.

Mobile giveaways from Epic are still relatively new, but they’re picking up steam, especially when they dip into popular puzzle franchises.

So if you’re into dark humor, elemental chaos, or just free stuff, this week’s drop might be worth a tap.
