One of the greatest role-playing games not just of recent years, but perhaps of all time, Baldur’s Gate 3 has become even more incredible, especially thanks to the efforts of mod creators. After Larian’s official mod support, the game gained tens of thousands of different mods, and it is now playable in FPS mode. Here’s what you need to know…

Baldur’s Gate 3 in FPS Mode!

One of the most talked-about games of 2023, Baldur’s Gate 3, has been taken to a whole new level with mod support. Originally played from an isometric perspective, the game can now be experienced from a first-person view. This development, which even excited Larian Studios’ CEO Swen Vincke, has caused a big stir in the gaming world.

A video shared by YouTuber Proxy Gate Tactician showcases how the game is transformed into a completely different experience. Thanks to the mod pack, not only the camera angle but also your character’s size and movement mechanics are completely overhauled. The game, now controlled with WASD keys, offers gameplay reminiscent of the Skyrim or Dragon Age series.

Even Larian Studios’ CEO, Swen Vincke, couldn’t hide his excitement after seeing this transformation and took to social media, stating, “Look at this, I want to try it too!” This reaction shows just how impressive the mod is.

However, the most exciting development is still on the way. Modders are working on adding a real-time combat system to the game. Developers of the mod have stated that this feature is currently at a basic level and is not yet ready for use in the main story mode.
