Xbox held a Developer Direct Showcase event today and made important announcements about three familiar games and one brand new title, Ninja Gaiden 4. If you missed the event, here are all the details…
Games announced at the Xbox Developer Direct Showcase and their details
Ninja Gaiden 4
The new Ninja Gaiden game was not among the expected ones. In the announcement, Ninja Gaiden 4, a collaboration between Team Ninja and PlatinumGames (known for the Bayonetta series), introduces a new hero, Yakumo. The game is a “true successor” to Ninja Gaiden 3 and strikes a balance between classic Ninja Gaiden and PlatinumGames’ action style. The game is being developed for PC, PS5, and Xbox and will be released this fall and will be available on Xbox Game Pass on day one.
South of Midnight
South of Midnight, which Compulsion Games has been working on for a long time, will be released on April 8, 2025. The studio, which we know with the game “We Happy Few”, is coming up with an impressive visual design and a deep story this time. The game will also be available on Game Pass on release day.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Sandfall Interactive’s first production, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a fantasy adventure inspired by 19th century France. The JRPG-inspired game is coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox consoles on April 24th. It will also be playable on Game Pass on the same date.
Doom: The Dark Ages – A Cosmic Inferno in the Middle Ages
Let’s get to the legend; Doom: The Dark Ages is rumored to bring a whole new dimension to the series. Drawing attention with its medieval theme, the game will offer players an experience worthy of itself in a cosmic hell world. It will be released on May 15th for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S and will be available on Game Pass.
This is the first big Xbox event of the year, especially with games like Ninja Gaiden 4 and Doom: The Dark Ages and Ninja Gaiden 4. However, it’s important to note that most of the games announced will also be coming to the PlayStation platform.
