Netflix’s series Squid Game, which has made a great impact around the world, is preparing to meet the audience with its second season. The series, which gained a huge fan base with its first season, will aim to keep the tension and excitement at the top in its second season. A trailer recently released at Netflix’s Geeked Week event offered clues about what we can expect from the new season.
Squid Game will keep the excitement at its peak with its second season
In the first season, 456 players competed for the grand prize by fighting for survival. The winner of the season was Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), but new trailers and rumours suggest that Gi-hun may appear in the second season. The mysterious scenes seen in the trailer and Gi-hun’s tense conversation with an important person bring to mind the possibility of the character being involved in the games again.
Gi-hun’s return raises questions: Will Gi-hun, who vowed to expose the people behind the games in the first season, voluntarily join the games, or is this a trap? Although the chances of winning again are slim, it is thought that Gi-hun may be forced to take part in this new challenge. The only possibility that comes to mind is that Gi-hun will be given a mortal end in the games.
At the end of the first season, Seong Gi-hun discovered the creator of the games and started using the money he earned. As he was about to leave for Los Angeles, he changed his plans and returned after seeing that a new player was involved in the game. The second season seems to continue with Gi-hun’s determination to stop Squid Game forever.
Squid Game fans have been waiting for the second season for a long time. Netflix announced that the new season will be released on 26 December. Moreover, the episodes of the series will be presented in one piece, so the season will not be divided as in some other Netflix series.
