Asus has officially unveiled the ExpertCenter PN54-S1 mini-PC, a trimmed-down version of the PN54 aimed at business users. Powered by AMD Ryzen 200 series CPUs and supporting up to 64 GB of RAM, it’s built for everyday reliability, rather than raw horsepower.
ExpertCenter PN54-S1 mini-PC skips discrete graphics
Buyers can pick between three AMD Zen 4-based chips: Ryzen 7 260, Ryzen 5 220, or Ryzen 5 210. Each comes with RDNA 3 integrated graphics. While the ExpertCenter PN54-S1 mini-PC lacks support for dedicated GPUs, it can still handle up to four 4K displays at once.
Compact build, no tools needed
The chassis measures just 130 x 130 x 34 mm and weighs 0.55 kg. It’s light, small, and designed for tool-free access. Asus even built in a fingerprint sensor for secure logins. Despite the cutbacks compared to the full PN54, upgradability hasn’t been compromised.
Ports and connectivity keep it versatile
Asus isn’t shortchanging users on ports. The ExpertCenter PN54-S1 mini-PC offers a wide range of connectivity options:
- 2x 2.5 Gb/s Ethernet
- Wi-Fi 7 or Wi-Fi 6E
- Bluetooth 5.4
- USB 4.0, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C
- USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, USB 2.0
- HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4
There’s enough flexibility here for workstations, kiosks, or digital signage setups.
ExpertCenter PN54-S1 mini-PC supports only Windows 11
Only Windows 11 Pro and Home are officially supported. Meanwhile, Linux users will need to look elsewhere. When it comes to hardware, Asus equips the system with up to a 2 TB SSD and 64 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM. Even so, that’s more than enough for typical office workloads, though it may fall short for heavy multitasking.
Smaller shell, smarter focus
The ExpertCenter PN54-S1 mini-PC isn’t chasing specs. Instead, Asus is clearly targeting stability and simplicity in a tight frame. Overall, it’s quiet, cool, and practical, no fluff needed.
