The cause of the outages is currently unclear and Facebook has yet to make an official statement. Service monitoring platforms such as Downdetector have been reporting a sudden increase in reports of problems with Facebook. Users have reported that they are unable to refresh the homepage, send messages and, in some cases, are unable to log in to the platform.
The geographic distribution of the issues is also not yet clear. However, reports from Europe, Asia and America, including Turkey, suggest that the outage may be global. Many users suspect that there is a problem with Facebook servers.
