Meta has provided Facebook Messenger users with new features, including creating shareable albums in chats, sending high-resolution HD photos, and sharing large files up to 100 MB. These features are particularly aimed at users who share HD images or create albums via services like Google Drive. How can they be used?
Facebook Messenger’s album creation, HD photo, and large file sharing features
Users can now compile and organize photos shared in Facebook Messenger chats into albums. For example, they can create an album for special moments like holiday photos or a grandmother’s 80th birthday celebration in group chats.
To create an album, simply select multiple photos in a chat, click the “+” button, and choose the “create album” option. The HD photo-sharing feature allows users to send a selected image from the chat as “HD.”
Facebook Messenger also enables sending Word, PDF, Excel, and zip files directly in chats. Users can do this by clicking the “+” button in their chats. Among the new features is the option to start chatting in the app by scanning a QR code instead of typing a name or number.
These new features enrich the communication experience for Facebook Messenger users and make the app more functional. Organizing photos, sharing in high quality, and easily sending large files will make Messenger a more effective communication tool.
