Fallout Season 2 Surprise: It’s releasing earlier than expected!

Fallout, which has become one of the most beloved series in the post-apocalyptic world, is giving its fans an early Christmas gift. Amazon Prime Video has moved the premiere of the highly anticipated second season to an earlier time than planned. The 20-month wait since the first season’s release in April 2024 ends tonight.

The first episode, originally expected to air on December 17th, has been moved forward by 6 hours. Accordingly, the first episode of Fallout season 2 will air on December 16th at 9:00 PM (ET) in the US.

For viewers in Turkey, this corresponds to 5:00 AM on Wednesday, December 17th. So, those waking up on Wednesday morning can continue the adventures of Lucy, Maximus, and The Ghoul from where they left off.

Unlike the first season, Amazon has changed its strategy this time. In April 2024, the platform, which released all episodes simultaneously, is switching to a weekly release format for the second season. Tonight, only the first episode will air, and the season finale will be on February 4, 2026. So, those who want to binge-watch the entire season in one night will unfortunately have to wait until February.

Before the show’s return, Amazon experienced an interesting crisis. Last week, the platform used AI to create a summary of the first season, but the resulting video was full of errors. This summary, which confused character backstories and plotlines, drew significant backlash from fans. Following the criticism, Amazon decided to completely remove the AI-generated video summaries from the platform.

So, do you think switching to a weekly release format for Fallout season 2 is the right decision? Or would you prefer to watch all the episodes back-to-back? Share your thoughts in the comments!
