According to Gurman, we might say goodbye to the Mac Pro model with new processors. M3 Ultra specs revealed with up to 80-core GPU

Apple is expected to announce the M3 chipset series, and now the M3 Ultra specs leaked with significant improvements...

Mac Studio, which has shown excellent performance and achieved successful sales figures, could dethrone the Mac Pro in the new generation. Along with the performance that the new generation mini computer will offer with the M3 Max processor and the transition to the Apple-designed structure, the days seem numbered for the Mac Pro, which has lost its modularity.

On the other hand, important changes are also expected in Apple’s M3 processors. The M3 processors will host eight CPU cores and 10 graphics cores at the entry level. We can expect to see this processor in the 13-inch MacBook Pro, 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air, Mac mini, and 24-inch iMac models.

M3 Pro will be offered in two different versions, the first having 12 CPU cores and 18 GPU cores, and the other having 14 CPU cores and 20 GPU cores. Among the models that will benefit from this processor are the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro, as well as the Mac mini.

The M3 Max processor is expected to have 16 CPU cores and 32 or 40 GPU cores. We can see the new processor in addition to the Mac Studio in the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro laptop models.

At the top of the M3 family, the M3 Ultra will offer a choice between two different configurations, one with 32 CPU cores and 64 or 80 GPU cores. If the production continues, we might also see this processor in the Mac Pro, besides its planned presence in the Mac Studio.
