Fenix is stepping up its everyday carry lineup with the E06R Pro, a newly teased flashlight that aims to outshine its keychain predecessor. Set to be officially unveiled on November 25, the E06R Pro already looks like a serious contender in the multi-functional EDC flashlight space.
Fenix E06R Pro expands far beyond the original keychain model
Fenix designed the standard E06R, released in February, to fit easily on a keychain. In contrast, the E06R Pro follows a more traditional EDC flashlight form. A teaser video on Fenix’s Instagram shows its compact but full-bodied design, featuring several light modes and a built-in laser.
Four light sources packed into one flashlight
The teasers so far show that the E06R Pro offers four distinct light outputs. Here’s what they appear to include:
- Laser pointer Likely a Class 1 in Europe and Class 3R in other markets
- Floodlight Ideal for wide-area visibility
- Focused beam For spotlighting and precision
- Possible UV light A fourth mystery output, hinted at in the teaser
That 4-in-1 approach mirrors what we’ve seen from competitors like the Acebeam K1, Nitecore EDC17, and Olight ArkPro series many of which also adopt a flat, rechargeable form factor.
Smart design with multiple switches
Fenix isn’t just throwing features at the E06R Pro, it looks like there’s real attention to usability. Multiple switches are present, likely to separate different lighting modes and offer quick access. One switch appears to feature an illuminated ring, a small touch carried over from the original E06R.
Around back, two tiny LEDs have sparked speculation: they might serve as signal lights or possibly battery level indicators, though Fenix hasn’t confirmed this yet.
Compact competition in the EDC space
The E06R Pro packs everything you’d expect from a modern EDC flashlight. It offers multi-mode lighting, USB-C charging, and a compact, durable build. While Acebeam sticks with modular designs, Fenix follows Olight and Nitecore by using a sealed internal battery a now-common feature in recent models.
With a growing number of premium-tier compact flashlights hitting the market, Fenix is clearly making a move to stay ahead of the curve.
Official reveal set for November 25
All eyes are on November 25 for the official announcement. Fenix plans to fully unveil the E06R Pro’s specs, pricing, and availability on that date. Until then, flashlight fans and EDC enthusiasts will have to wait just a bit longer to see how this compact powerhouse stacks up.
