File sharing between Android and iPhone gets easier

Ana sayfa /

Sending photos, videos or other files between Android and iPhone models has been a big problem for years. Even though manufacturers are working on different software, users continue to experience similar problems. Finally, Oppo has developed a technology that enables wireless file sharing between Android and iPhone.

Oppo is working on a new feature that will simplify file sharing between Android and iOS devices. A leaked screenshot from ColorOS 15 shows that the company will introduce a wireless file transfer method integrated into Android.

With the new feature, ColorOS 15 users will be able to wirelessly send files such as photos, videos and documents to a nearby iPhone. While an app will be required to be installed on the iPhone, the transfer interface will be integrated directly into ColorOS’ file manager.

Circle to Search may finally come to Xiaomi and vivo

This wireless transfer method will eliminate the need for third-party file transfer apps or cloud storage services for cross-platform content sharing. Of course, we should not ignore solutions such as AirDrop for iOS and Quick Share for Android.

It is not yet clear how the file transfer will work technically and whether it will be limited to Oppo/OnePlus devices. The leaked information also does not specify whether the feature will be available globally or limited to the Chinese market.

The new feature could improve cross-device interaction by facilitating file sharing between users. It could also benefit user security by reducing reliance on third-party apps.
