Finally, SpaceX smiled! Falcon Heavy mission successful!
SpaceX had planned to launch this mission earlier this month. However, setbacks continued to haunt him. A number of problems arose, including bad weather. The last set date was December 13. However, as a result of the setbacks, the mission date was postponed to December 28.
SpaceX calls this mission USSF-52 mission. After delays, the Falcon Heavy Rocket took off from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida in the evening hours of Thursday, December 28. The spaceflight company, led by Elon Musk, shared the launch with space enthusiasts. It livestreamed the first part of the mission, including the launch and landing of two of the rocket’s three boosters.
About eight minutes after liftoff, the Falcon Heavy’s two side thrusters turned home for a steep descent. In addition, the core thruster continued to feed its payload into orbit.
Falcon Heavy consists of three Falcon 9 boosters. Falcon Heavy has 5.5 million pounds of thrust at launch. This makes it one of the most powerful rockets currently in use.
