Huawei continues to be present in the automobile market through its partnerships in China. Aito, which uses Huawei’s infrastructure, has accelerated its work for its fourth model. The first images from the Aito M8, which will be the company’s new SUV model, have arrived.

Aito has rolled up its sleeves for its new mid-size SUV that will be an alternative to the M7 and M9 models. Spy photos of the test vehicle, which is thought to be the pre-production version of the Aito M8, have emerged. The new SUV, called M8, will have a design similar to the M9 with its straight lines and wide roofline.

Unlike the M9, the new model does not seem to have a roof-mounted LIDAR sensor. This means it will only support camera-based autonomous driving systems. So it will support Huawei’s latest Qiankun 3.0 driver support platform, but will not offer LIDAR capabilities.

Fortnite is back on iPhone after four years!

Fortnite is now available on iPhone and iPad via the Epic Games Store. However, the decision only applies to EU users.

Interior shots show that the Aito will retain its triple-screen cockpit layout. The powertrain specifications are also expected to be in line with the M9, offering both extended-range and long-range electric options.

The M8 is likely to fill the gap in Aito’s lineup between the compact M7 and the premium M9. The new M8 is expected to be launched in the coming months and will address the burgeoning mid-level SUV market.

The joint venture between Huawei and automaker Human Horizons plans to produce 600,000 vehicles by next year.
