According to rumors coming from South Korea, Samsung’s next-generation foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, will be launched with an Exynos processor. This seems quite interesting since Samsung has preferred Snapdragon processors in its foldable phones so far. Here are the details…
Processor change imminent for Z Fold 7 and Flip 7
The same source also confirmed the rumors we’ve been hearing recently about the Galaxy S25 series, which are claimed to be launching with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors, ditching Exynos processors altogether.
It is almost certain that the Galaxy S25 series will come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. A different strategy was followed in the Galaxy S24 series, which was released this year. While the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ models came with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy and Exynos 2400 processors, the Galaxy S24 Ultra model used only the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor.
If this report is true, the entire Galaxy S25 series will come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. However, while it is stated that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 will come with the Exynos 2500 processor, there is no clear information on whether Snapdragon alternatives will be offered. The report said that Samsung’s Exynos 2500 processor should increase production efficiency and stabilize its performance.
