Microsoft, is preparing to release the next-generation Surface model later this year. As the launch date draws near, information about the new generation of 2-in-1 laptop models has also surfaced. Here are the details that have come up about the new Microsoft Surface:
Microsoft Surface bids farewell to ARM-based processors
According to the latest information, the next-generation Surface Go will bid farewell to ARM-based processors. Instead, the new device will be powered by the all-new Intel N200, a processor specially designed for affordable and compact devices. It is expected that the N200 will be significantly more powerful and energy-efficient compared to the Intel Core i3-10100Y seen in the Surface Go 3.
The Surface Go 3 is expected to compete with Apple’s MacBook Air models with the right configuration. Strengthened by Intel’s Meteor Lake laptop CPUs, the Surface Go 3 will have to face the challenge posed by Apple’s powerful M series.
The next-generation Surface Studio, on the other hand, seems to continue its success by improving its existing layout. The 2-in-1 computer, which will host Intel’s latest processors, will also feature modern connectivity ports.
It seems that Microsoft is now entrusting the Surface series to Intel’s latest processors. With the collaboration of these two companies, we might see the best Surface models to date. We only need to wait for the end of 2023 to witness this.
Microsoft could potentially challenge both the iPad and MacBook Air models with the new Surface models. What are your thoughts on the Surface Go and Surface Studio models? Feel free to share your opinions in the comments section.
