Nestled in the Sunshine State, Apple’s Coconut Point outlet, known as one of the company’s most compact stores, has temporarily shut its doors for a revamp. An expansion might be in the cards, which could shed its title as one of the smallest in the world.
Exciting changes in the works?
The closure of the store situated at Fashion Drive, Estero, occurred in June. Recent pictures shared by a keen observer, Jacob Eberhart, capture the obscured windows of the shop, hinting at significant interior work.
Announcements of a temporary closure are evident in the windows, with the familiar phrase “We’ll be right back” signaling a short hiatus. No sneak peeks into the interior developments are available as yet.

The online directory for the store has updated its status to ‘closed for enhancements.’ The Apple faithful are being directed to the Apple Waterside Shops for their Apple retail needs in the interim.
An expansion on the horizon?
As for the nature of the upgrades, it’s still a mystery. Eberhart has noticed damage to the store’s logo, missing a portion due to Hurricane Ian’s impact. While this could suggest minor repairs, a more exciting possibility exists. The storefront adjacent to the Apple Store is currently vacant. Although the space is not huge, it could provide an opportunity for Apple to broaden its existing storefront.
